This is a general purpose cooking salt that can be used in sauteing, pan frying, deep-frying, poaching, simmering, boiling, steaming, braising and stewing. With its texture and grain size, Exalt recognizes that chefs and home cooks rarely measure the amount of salt they put and like to use their fingers when seasoning. it can also be used for dishes that involve methods such as broiling, grilling, roasting and salt-crust baking.

Exalt Brining Salt

Brining

250g in 4 liters or 16 cups of water

  1. Dissolve the salt in the water
  2. Submerge the meat in the brine
  3. Refrigerate

Brining time based on thickness of meat:

½ inch = 12.7mm = 30 minutes
1 inch = 25.4mm = 1 hour
2 inches = 50.8mm = 3 hours
3 inches = 76.2mm = 8 hours
